( )(casks/oak vat) dark red. Blackberry, raspberry, buffed leather airs lead the nose, a sweet crème de menthe angle present. The palate has inner vigour, if not yet integrated; there are some slightly chalky tannins and their “wire” along the late stages, after the mixed berry fruits of the attack. This needs time to fuse and to amplify further. There are flashes of fruit late on that indicate that it can get together. Decanting advised. 15.5°. From mid-2019. 2030-31
